Drip does not support embedded video in emails, and video content cannot be played directly from within the email itself. This is common across the majority of email service providers because many email clients, such as Google and Yahoo, will mark those emails as risky deliveries. Emails that contain playable video content will likely end up in your recipients’ spam folders.
As an alternative, you can take a screenshot of the first frame of your video, insert it into the email and link the image to wherever the video is hosted online.
Here’s what you will need:
- a video hosted somewhere online
- a screenshot of the video
Learn How to Take a Screenshot with your device. You will want your screenshot to be 1800px wide (and less than 5 MB) if you want it to fill the entire width of Drip’s default template. Make adjustments as needed.
