Trigger automations in Workflows and Rules when a person performs a custom event.
To trigger a Rule when a person performs a custom event:

Go to Workflows > Rules

Select the rule you'd like to trigger when a person performs a custom event

Under What should trigger this rule? select Drip > Performed a custom event

Enter the event name

Select the action to perform

Click Save Rule
To trigger a Workflow when a person performs a custom event:

Go to Workflows > Workflows

Select the workflow you’d like to trigger when a person performs a custom event

On the node you’d like to trigger a custom event, click +

Select Drip > Performed a custom event

Enter the event name

Click Update Action
Add a Filter
Click + Add a filter to define the event properties for the custom event. The event will only trigger if these properties are met. For example, if you want to trigger a Rule or Workflow when someone buys a specific product, add the product name by defining the event property name > product title.
Property name
The Property name is a case-sensitive variable that stores a given value. i
Equals
A dropdown of available operators to determine if a property's value meets the trigger's filter criteria.
Value
The Value is a case-sensitive piece of information that is contained inside the event Property identifier.
A person will trigger this event only if they made an order with the name "Red Shirt".
