After you connect the integration, you’re ready to start growing your store’s revenue through email marketing.
The Drip <> BigCommerce integration syncs your customer list, historical orders, and products.
Email Marketing
Send single emails with Single Email Campaigns in Drip. We detect your brand colors, logo, and fonts from your website and apply them to our Visual Email Builder to save you precious time.
Use dynamic product blocks to personalize your emails, and insert abandoned cart items, top-selling products, and more.
Easily add products from your catalog to an email with our Product Content Block. Use the block in the Visual Email Builder in any single Broadcast email or automation email to send products from your store. Once this block has been added, you can quickly search for and add products from your catalog.
It can take up to 24 hours for products to populate in the Product Block.
Introduce customers to the most popular items in your store by adding Top-Selling Products into your emails. These recommendations are personalized and will dynamically add top-selling products the customer has yet to purchase.
Automation
Install our out-of-the-box Workflows configured for BigCommerce, or build your own. Implement ecommerce strategies like cart abandonment, welcome series, and more, tailored for your store in just a few clicks. Find them in-app by navigating to Workflows > Workflow Templates.
- BigCommerce Abandoned Cart
- BigCommerce Abandoned Browse
- BigCommerce Post-Purchase
- BigCommerce Welcome Series
Forms
Grow your list with our popup forms. We automatically detect your brand colors, logo, and fonts and apply them to the style of your forms.
Create custom popup, exit-intent, and side tab forms in Drip and display them on your website within minutes. No coding required.
People
There are a few important things to note about people in Drip. The first is email preference.
Email Preference
Email preference indicates whether a customer has opted into your marketing emails, and determines if you can send commercial or transactional emails to them.
All new BigCommerce customers are set to subscribed or unsubscribed based on their status in BigCommerce.
The second thing you should do with your customer list is to create Segments. We add some default segments to your account to help you get started, which you can find on the People page.
Segments
Segments are dynamic lists that update automatically according to the criteria you select. They help you boost customer engagement and drive more sales by creating tailored audiences for your emails and automations.
With the data from your store, find groups of people that have shown commonalities in the way they shop:
-
Order frequency
-
Order infrequency
-
Products purchased
-
Price range/quantity of products purchased
Once you segment your list, you can better target groups of people for specific emails and workflows.
Currency
Drip displays the currency amount that is passed through from BigCommerce and makes no conversions. For the United States dollar (USD) there is nothing for you to do here. However, if your store is set to the Euro, for example, you must set Drip to be in the Euro as well. If your store is in Euro and your Drip account is in USD, the amounts will be incorrect.
If your BigCommerce store is set to another currency, go in and manually update the currency symbol wherever it’s used in your emails. For example, the cart abandonment block includes a ${{ product.price }}
that you will want to change to £{{ product.price }}
.
To change the currency symbol in your emails:
-
Open the email where you want to change the currency symbol
-
Click into the
${{ product.price }}
box -
Manually delete the $ and add the £ symbol
