Leadpages makes it easy to build stunning opt-in landing pages that capture leads and then converts them to customers. With Leadpages' Drip integration, you can seamlessly add people to an Email Series Campaign or trigger a Workflow after a specific action occurs with a Leadpages feature.
When Leadpages' documentation refers to a Drip Campaign, they are referring to the Email Series Campaigns in Drip.
How the Integration Works
When you grant Leadpages access to Drip, you will be able to send the leads you get through your Leadpages landing pages straight over to your Drip account. Key features of the integration include:
-
Drip automatically creates a new person or updates an existing one based on the given email address after they submit a landing page
-
Select any Email Series Campaign or Workflow in Drip to directly connect to a specific landing page
-
Trigger Automation in Drip when a specific action occurs in a Leadpages feature, such as when someone submits a form or clicks a link
-
The ability to use Triggerless Workflows in Drip
When you send an Email Series Campaign, be aware that if you'd like to require double opt-in, you'll need to enable that setting inside of Drip under the Signup Settings for the individual Email Series Campaign.
Include a custom post-confirmation page that has your Drip JavaScript tracking snippet on it. When someone clicks the double opt-in confirmation link and lands on a page with your tracking snippet will automatically identify the person.
Leadpage form submissions do not resubscribe people. For more on how to resubscribe people, check out this Help Center Article.
Triggerless Workflows
If you choose to trigger a Workflow after someone performs an action in Leadpages, you don’t need to include an entry trigger because Leadpages will trigger the Workflow for you. This is called a triggerless Workflow.
The only way a person can re-enter into the Workflow is if they return to that same Leadpages feature and take the same action over again, such as submitting a form or clicking a link.
Triggering a Workflow is favorable over an Email Series Campaign because a Workflow can include an action to send an Email Series Campaign. Workflows also have many other automation actions such as applying tags and tracking goals.

Trigger Workflows and Email Series Campaigns in Leadpages
Now that your Drip account is connected, you can trigger a Drip Email Series Campaign or Workflow from each of the following Leadpages features:
-
Drag & Drop Builder
-
Standard Builder
Drag and Drop Builder
Use the Leadpages Form Widget to trigger an Email Series Campaign or a Workflow in Drip after someone submits it. There are two different ways you can automate based on a form widget submission via this builder.
The first way is via the landing page template editor in Leadpages. To automation from inside of the landing page template editor:
-
Go to the template editor of the landing page that has the form widget you'd like to integrate
-
Hover over and click on the form widget in the template editor
-
Click Add an Integration in the left sidebar
-
Select your Drip account
- Choose the Drip Email Series Campaign or Workflow that should trigger when someone submits the form
If you add any additional fields to the form other than email, we'll save those as custom fields for the person.
If your Workflow or Email Series Campaign isn’t being triggered in Drip, refresh the list and re-select the Workflow or Email Series Campaign that should be triggered.
The second way to automation from a Leadpages form widget submission is from inside of your Drip account with this Leadpages trigger event: Submitted a drag-and-drop landing page.
Enter the form name into the trigger unless you'd like it to fire after any Leadpages form submission from a drag-and-drop landing page. Find the form name in your Leadpages account by clicking on the form in the template editor.
Triggers are case sensitive, so make sure to enter the form name into the trigger in Drip the exact same as it appears in your Leadpages account.
This trigger event can be used in Workflows and Rules to apply automation actions to people who submit the form, such as apply a tag and send an email series.

Standard Builder
This builder can access your Email Series Campaigns and Workflows through the button widget you have wired to your call-to-action button. To automate with the standard builder:
-
While editing the form in your template, hover over and click the CTA button
-
When the editor appears, click on Integration settings in the left sidebar
-
Two dropdowns will appear in the sidebar
-
In the first, select Drip
-
In the second, select the Email Series Campaign or Workflow you'd like to trigger upon form submission
-
Save your changes
If you add any additional fields to the form other than email, we'll save those as custom fields for the person.
