As you wrap up the final preparations for the holidays, we wanted to tackle some questions that might pop up.
If I send a Single Email Campaign “Immediately,” how long does it take to get to my customers’ inbox?
Once you’ve built your email and hit “send,” there are a couple things Drip has to do to get your email to your customers’ inbox. Typically, this process takes 1-15 minutes, but for very large lists, it could take up to 45 minutes.
Single Email Campaign email pro tips:
-
The bigger the list, the more time you’ll want to allow for Drip to prep and send the email.
-
If you want an email to be delivered in a recipient’s time zone, you must schedule that email at least 24 hours in advance. For example, if you want your email to arrive at 8 pm PST on November 25th, you need to schedule it by 7 pm PST on November 24th.
What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel any emails?
In the Settings tab of your email, select “Unschedule & Return to Draft.” If you need to cancel a Single Email Campaign, we strongly encourage you to do so at least one hour in advance of the scheduled send time, just to be safe. This also applies to emails scheduled for a specific time zone. Once an email has been sent it cannot be undone.
If you’ve scheduled your email to send in a recipient’s time zone, you’ll need to unschedule at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled send time. If the option to unschedule your email is missing, it is too late and the email is queued to send. Deleting a scheduled Single Email Campaign will not stop it from sending, but will only delete the email content and metrics from your Drip account.
