The Profile, tags, and fields tab displays the person’s profile fields, Tags, Custom Fields, and Notes.
Under the person profile fields tab, you can edit the following fields:
- first name
- last name
- address
- city
- zip
- country
- phone
- time zone
There can only be one iteration of each profile field in Drip. If the person's first and last name is not populated in their profile, their email will display next to the profile avatar.
Name Fields
When you initially add a first or last name field to your account, that is your account’s default first / last name field. There can only one default first and last name field in your account. For example, if you have First_Name
, you can’t also have first_name
. Let’s say that you originally add First_Name
to your account, that will be your account’s default first name field. However, because the liquid for profile fields is no longer case sensitive, either field version will pull the existing value for either. To change the default first name field:
-
Go to People > Fields
-
Locate your name field
-
Click Edit
-
Enter
first_name
-
Click Submit
Format Profile Fields
The profile fields can be imported manually, see our Import Data with Drip Guide on how to get started. These fields can also be populated via an ecommerce platform integration, like Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Magento, and our Shopper Activity API or third-party integration. To map fields from other platforms to Drip’s built-in profile fields:
email
first_name
last_name
phone
address1
address2
city
state
zip
country
lifetime_value
time_zone
For more information on how to set this up, see our Integrate with Drip Guide.
