Send a “Thank You” message after each booking while ensuring you have the right details to automate upsells for upcoming trips with the Peek Pro: Post Purchase Workflow.
Activate the Workflow
Install our pre-built Workflow, or build your own. Our pre-built Workflow includes the purchase event as a trigger, the Actions needed to Call Event Properties and set them to a Custom Field, followed by a thank-you email providing customers with their booking details.
Follow up this workflow with a pre-tour and post-tour workflow to upsell any relevant upgrades or add-ons to your customer’s experience and build a loyal customer base:
Set up your Workflow
Step one: Set up your “Placed an order” trigger
By default, the Placed an order event will trigger all purchases into the Post Purchase Workflow. Trigger Filters allow you to further define which type of order events should be considered for this Workflow. To avoid sending booking-related emails to people buying physical products, include trigger filters to exclude any gift cards and merch you sell.
Step Two: “Set a Custom Field” Actions
The Peek Pro integration sends over the booking details within the Placed an order’s event properties. By Calling Event Properties with Liquid, the details are pulled using the liquid code {{event.event_property_name}} and set to your chosen Custom Field name.
The first three Actions of this Workflow will take the starting date, ending date, and event name from the event’s details and place their values into the Custom fields next_booking_date, next_booking_end, and next_booking_name on the person’s profile.
Step Three: Edit the Email Content
Use this Post Purchase Workflow to follow up with people as they book their trips. The purpose of this email is to serve as a first touchpoint to:
- Thank them for their booking:
- Using Liquid and Custom Fields you can personalize the message in a way that is relevant to your customer.
- Confirm their booking details:
- Use the custom fields set in the last steps such as next_booking_name and next_booking_date to dynamically pull in their tour info into the email.
- Build excitement!
- Provide further details of the trip to get customers ready for their experience. By adding helpful details, or highlights for what to expect, you can continue to build enthusiasm:
Measure Workflow Performance
As your emails are released on the designated delays check back on their performance using the Workflow Dashboard.
Here is where you:
- Evaluate the conversions you’re seeing from this Workflow such as any revenue from upsell emails.
- Keep in mind: Revenue reporting is only available to Shopify, Woocommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Fareharbor, Peek Pro, or our Shopper Activity API connected accounts.
- Look at the open and click-through rates of the emails to see what attendees are engaging in.
