How to Create a Quiz Campaign
Select the “Gamification” tab and click on one of the templates tagged “Quiz”.
At the moment, you can choose between two themed quiz templates or start your design from scratch.
A quiz campaign consists of multiple “question steps” where you can ask one question per step. For each question, you can add answer options.
Make sure to write your question inside the Question element as shown below:
You can add and remove answer options in the sidebar:
You can style the look of your answers by scrolling down to the “Styling” section in the sidebar.
For example, you can use the below options to style the boxes that contain the radios:
You can add more Question steps by clicking the bottom menu, and selecting “Add Question”. If you want to collect more contact information, such as phone number, country, or gender, you can also add more Form steps to your quiz.
💡 Pro Tip: If you want to collect consent for SMS marketing, add a new Form step to your campaign, and use the SMS element. This way, you can collect phone numbers while staying compliant with GDPR regulations.
Use the three dots (...) menu next to the Question and Form steps to delete, duplicate or change its order.
How to set up your outcome logic
If you wish to show specific outcomes to your visitors based on which answers they choose, you can create several "Outcome steps" using the "Add outcome" option in the menu in the bottom:
Once you've created your outcome steps you can set up the logic by clicking "Manage outcomes", for instance, in the sidebar:
This will open up a modal, where you can choose what combinations of answers that will result in each outcome step. You can choose multiple answers under each question if you prefer:
If you choose to edit your answer options or your questions after mapping your outcome steps, they will only be updated in the outcome mapping, but the mapping will persist.
Once you've mapped certain answers to your outcome step, the answers will show in the "Edit" tab of the sidebar when you're viewing that step:
You can also choose a default outcome step which will show if the answers the visitors select don't result in any of your mapped outcomes. This way you make sure you have no loose ends, and no matter what answers are chosen it will result in an outcome.
For quiz campaigns, you can use Triggers, Page-Level Targeting, and Targeting Options just like any other campaign type and show your campaign to the right people, at the right time.
Note: Adding more question and answer options to your quizzes means more complicated email flows. We recommend focusing on the most important data while creating your email flows to simplify your setup. For example, you can make your email workflows conditional on the first two question steps, and keep your answer options to a minimum.
