It’s the age-old question for Drip users… should I use a Broadcast or a Campaign?

Industry terminology has changed since Drip’s humble beginnings as an email opt-in form in 2013, so must we.
Broadcasts were renamed to Campaigns on June 11th, 2021.
We made this change to better align with the rest of the ecommerce email marketing industry.
This is a terminology change only. The functionality of any current Broadcast or Campaign emails will NOT be affected by this change.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the new terminology?
-
Broadcasts (a single email) were renamed Single Email Campaigns.
-
Campaigns (a series of emails) were renamed Email Series Campaigns.
When should I send a single email vs a series of emails?
Send a single email campaign if you’re sending a one-time email such as a sale, product launch, announcement, or newsletter.
To send an automated series of emails like a welcome series, abandoned cart series, or post-purchase series, use one of our pre-built workflow templates. These emails are best sent in an automation because they rely on specific actions to send.
