Drip allows you to change up the default currency symbol in your account to better display your data. We'll get to more detail in the upcoming sections about how to modify this setting and how it affects certain features within your account.
First, let's take a look at the options available to you when it comes to changing up this setting:
- United States dollar
- Euro
- Pound sterling
- Australian dollar
- New Zeland dollar
- Norwegian krone
- Rupee
- Swedish Krona
- Swiss francs
- Canadian dollar
Where does the currency symbol show up in my account?
Before changing up the default currency symbol in your account, it's important to understand where this symbol is displayed, and the effects it has on particular settings in your Drip account.
Conversions
Drip's Conversions feature allows you to add a default value and therefore includes a currency symbol next to that value. It's important to note that existing conversions are unaffected by a change in default currency (e.g. if you change your default currency, it won't go update all your existing conversions to that new one). However, once the change is made, Drip will use that default currency symbol for any new conversion created after the account setting has been modified.
Although changing the default currency symbol in your account won't update your existing conversions, you can always go to an individual conversion and modify its currency symbol from within its settings:
Lifetime Value
If you've been keeping track of your subscribers' lifetime value (LTV), that data is also displayed as a monetary value. Switching the default currency symbol in your account will immediately update the LTV field's symbol, but will not perform any currency exchange calculations, and it will only change the symbol displayed next to the initial value that is already there.
How to change the default currency symbol in your Drip account
Go to Settings > Account > General Info:
Then, use the Default Currency Symbol drop-down to change the default currency symbol for your account:
Does changing the currency symbol also perform a monetary conversion?
No, changing the currency symbol in your account does not perform any exchange calculations to change the value's current amount.
