Each Drip subscription has a single API Token. To find your API Token:
- From your Drip account, click your Account Settings ().
- From the drop-down, click User Settings.
- Your API token will be located near the bottom of your user settings.
For security purposes, API access is limited for some new & existing accounts. If you see the message below and have questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why you might need to use your API Token:
Many third-party integrations may require an API Token as a form of authentication in order to connect with their services. Or, you may need it for development work with an API.
The token allows for certain types of permissions and access to your Drip account. This allows Drip to receive data and perform actions such as creating new subscribers, for example.
Be aware that some services may not always refer to this credential as an "API Token". It's also commonly referred to as an "API key" throughout the software service industry.
