Triggering an opt-in form to open with a hyperlink is simple.
First, grab the link from the “Behavior” tab on the form editor:
The hyperlink looks something like this (replace 9999999 with your form ID):
<a href="https://www.getdrip.com/forms/9999999/submissions/new" data-drip-show-form="9999999">Show form</a>
If you are modifying an existing link, just add the “data-drip-show-form” attribute to the link.
Example: Triggering a Lightbox Form
Suppose you want to place a call-to-action button on your site, but you don’t want to embed the entire form. Instead, you want a lightbox to show when the user clicks the call-to-action. Here’s how to accomplish this using a manual trigger link.
Make sure that your form widget is enabled:
Then, set your form orientation to “Lightbox”:
If you don’t want the lightbox to automatically pop up after a specific amount of time, then uncheck the first two options on the “Behavior” tab:
The final task is to place the HTML on your site. Then, the form will appear anytime a user clicks your call to action.
